AutoRSR: Free, online evidence-based screening tool

Powered by the National AI Institute for Exceptional Education, AutoRSR is automating evidence-based speech and language screening for young children with the Redmond Sentence Recall (RSR) screening test.

Researchers validated their automated method against human-conducted tests and have shown equal or better results! (A manuscript on this work is under review.)

The AI Institute is working with a local school district to see if they can adopt this automated screening for their school kids’ screenings (students 5-9 years old).

The Institute is also working with a few other researchers to automate their evidence-based screening instruments, including Prof. Janna Oetting from the Louisiana State University (LSU) D4 Child Language Lab and Prof. Pam Hadley from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC).
