AI4ExceptionalEd

The AI Institute for Transforming Education for Children with Speech and Language Processing Challenges (or National AI Institute for Exceptional Education) aims to address the significant shortage of Speech and Language Pathologists (SLPs) by developing AI technologies to ensure that no child in need of speech and language services is left behind. These novel AI solutions represent a paradigm shift in how SLP’s serve the needs of children: (1) the AI Screener in enabling universal early screening, and (2) the AI Orchestrator in providing individualized ability-based interventions.
