In last month’s issue of AIVO News, we announced that Team Science Education launched within the Project Management SIG, including several engagements with Divergent Science. On July 16, Team Science had a call featuring a group of PMs from the AI Institutes, as well as the personnel from Divergent Science who are coordinating the PM training.
There’s still time for PMs to be included in the Team Science training with Divergent Science!
However, spots for the training are limited. Anyone interested must be willing to commit to the program and contribute to the discussions that will be held between now and the Summit for AI Institutes Leadership (SAIL), which is happening October 7–10, 2024.
The official kickoff of the Team Science training is the next call on August 20, 1:00–3:00 pm Eastern. Any PMs who would like to be included in the training effort must participate in the call.

What’s coming up next
- Divergent Science: The team at Divergent Science will reach out to training participants in the week or so leading up to the August 20 kickoff call. They’ll provide login information to a portal that will be used to distribute the initial Team Science training modules.
- PMs: For the August 20 call, PMs should come prepared to offer up topics that they’d like to see covered in the in-person engagement at SAIL, which will be held on Monday, October 7.
