About the HARVEST 2025
The emergence of modern AI systems powered by high-performance computing (HPC) has revolutionized how we interact with technology, and their combined impact on various science domains like agriculture has yet to be fully explored. Over the past decades, computer scientists, computational scientists, agronomists, and researchers in agriculture have dedicated their efforts towards empowering farmers by ensuring the latest advances in technology are made available to them.
This workshop brings together researchers and software/hardware designers from academia, industry, and national laboratories who are involved in designing HPC-powered AI-enabled systems for agriculture, and how it can be leveraged to improve efficiency, accuracy, and accessibility for end-users.The objectives of this workshop will be to share the experiences of the members of this community and to learn the opportunities and challenges in designing HPC-powered AI-enabled systems for agriculture.
Through presentations and discussions, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the potential for HPC and AI to revolutionize the field of agriculture and the challenges that need to be overcome. The workshop will provide attendees with the opportunity to learn from experts in the field and explore how HPC and AI can be applied to their specific areas of interest within agriculture. The workshop is designed for researchers, practitioners, and developers who are interested in exploring the benefits HPC and AI can bring to agriculture.

Paper & Submission Requirements
Papers should not be submitted in parallel to any other conference or journal.
At least one of the authors of each accepted paper must register as a participant of the workshop and present the paper at the workshop, in order to have the paper published in the proceedings.
Papers should:
- Present original research
- Provide sufficient background material to make them accessible to the broader community
- Be submitted by July 15
- Be a maximum of 8 pages using IEEE conference format
- Be in 10pt font
- Be formatted for 8.5″ x 11″ (U.S. Letter)

How to Submit Your Paper
Abstracts and papers must be submitted via the Linklings conference system: https://ssl.linklings.net/conferences/icpp/
- Log in.
- After logging in, please select the “Make a New Submission” tab on the top.
- Click on the “First International Workshop on Applications of HPC and AI in Agriculture (HARVEST)” link among the available options to submit your work.
Best Paper Award
The workshop will be given to the author(s) of the paper selected by the Technical Program Committee and the Program Chairs. The award will be determined from viewpoints of the technical and scientific merits, impact on the science and engineering of the research work and the clarity of presentation of the research contents in the paper.
Proceedings Information
The workshop proceedings will be published through IEEE and included in the IEEE Xplore digital library.
Each research paper will be taken through a comprehensive peer review process by an internationally recognized group of experts in the field. Papers will be evaluated along the metrics of
a) Quality of Presentation
b) Novelty / Originality
c) Relation to State of the Art
d) Technical Strength
e) Significance of Work
f) Relevance to Workshop
g) Availability and quality of the “Artifact Description Appendix”
Every effort will be made to ensure that each paper receives multiple reviews.
Note: At least one of the authors of each accepted paper must register as a participant of the workshop and present the paper at the workshop, in order to have the paper published in the proceedings.
Please contact the Program Chairs, Hari Subramoni and Scott Shearer, for any questions/clarifications:
