Urban areas generate over 70% of global carbon emissions and energy use, yet remain inefficient despite technological advances. Our workshop invites the ML community to tackle the complex challenges of urban optimization—spanning energy, transportation, public health, and more—through interdisciplinary collaboration and cutting-edge methods, with the goal of enabling scalable, real-world solutions for sustainable and resilient cities.
