>The Athena Institute’s Summer Research Program

The Athena Institute‘s Summer Research Program offers undergraduate students the opportunity to participate in one of four research projects in edge computing, machine learning, software security, wireless sensing, and more.
>AgAID Undergraduate Research Internship Program 2024
Application Deadline: February 28, 2024
The AgAID URI Summer Program offers rising Juniors, Seniors, and outstanding Sophomores the opportunity to develop or apply AI tools to improve water resource modeling and decision-making on farms and create robotics solutions for agricultural automation.
>Center for Digital Agriculture – Research Experience for Undergraduates
Application Deadline: March 1, 2024
CDA REU is a paid summer research experience focused on applying digital agriculture technologies to complex biological applications. The Artificial Intelligence for Future Agricultural Resilience, Management, and Sustainability Institute (AIFARMS) will provide faculty mentors and projects for the program as well as financial support for some of the students.
>IAIFI Summer School 2024

AI Institute for Artificial Intelligence and Fundamental Interactions (IAIFI) Summer School will include lectures and events that illustrate interdisciplinary research at the intersection AI and Physics and encourage diverse global networking. Students will also receive hands-on, code-based tutorials that build on foundational lecture materials to put theory into practice.
>TRAILS 2024 Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships

The 2024 Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships (SURF) at the Institute for Trustworthy AI in Law and Society (TRAILS) is a 10-week program that engages an interdisciplinary team of current undergraduate students in research on trustworthy artificial intelligence at the University of Maryland in College Park.
>Molecule Maker Camp 2024
Application Deadline: March 24, 2024 (Priority Deadline)
The Molecule Maker Camp, hosted by the Molecule Maker Lab Institute (MMLI) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign offers rising 9th and 10th graders an immersive experience delving into the world of molecules. Students will learn from researchers and experts, explore labs, and apply their newly learned lab techniques. Participants not only engage in scientific inquiry but also enjoy classic camp activities while experiencing life on a college campus.
>AIFS Career Exploration Fellowship Summer 2024
Application Deadline: March 29, 2024
The AI Institute for Next Generation Food Systems (AIFS) Summer 2024 Career Exploration Fellowship offers undergraduates the chance to gain hands-on AgTech research experience. Students will spend 8 weeks working with a company, field researcher, or university lab across the US on projects addressing critical challenges in food and agriculture using innovative technologies. The Career Exploration Fellowship aims to help students explore careers that combine food, agriculture, and technology.
>The Translational AI Center’s Research Experience for Undergraduates

Sponsored by the AI Institute for Resilient Agriculture (AIIRA), the REU@TrAC at Iowa State University is a 9-week research program for undergraduates in AI applied across diverse fields. Students will engage in interdisciplinary projects, acquiring skills to prepare them for graduate school and develop professionally.
>AI-SDM Summer Workshop for High School Educators

The AI Institute for Societal Decision Making (AI-SDM) Summer Workshop for High School Educators is a 5-day program that will facilitate hands-on experience with AI and machine learning principles, and explore data’s influence on algorithms and their societal impact. Participants will acquire effective strategies and ready-to-use resources for integrating AI into their curriculum.
